KANGAR: Police have asked a freelance speaker to come forward to assist investigations into an alleged child sexual harassment case.
Perlis police chief Deputy Commissioner Hamzah Hashim said police confirmed receiving a report concerning the incident involving the speaker at 2.09am on Sept 26.
He said the man who is also an independent preacher had been asked to appear at the Padang Besar district police headquarters.
"Police also urge any other victims who may have been involved with the motivational speaker to come forward and lodge a report to assist investigations.
"The case is being investigated under Section 12 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017," he said in a statement.
