KUALA LUMPUR: No decision has been made on a proposal to raise the minimum age for obtaining a motorcycle licence from 16 to 18, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said.

He said several aspects needed to be considered before a decision could be made on the proposal by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros).

"It's a study, but we have not made any decision yet. So, at this point in time, there is no policy decision as far as the age limit for motorcycle licences is concerned," he said after opening the Transport Expo Asia.
