KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's first registered Level 4 driverless logistics van with valid registration numbers has begun a six-month trial in Cyberjaya, marking a milestone in the country's push towards autonomous transport.
The RoboVan, operated by Autonomous Logistic Solutions Sdn Bhd (ALS), was launched in conjunction with Transport Expo Asia (TXA) 2026, witnessed by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
The van will be tested along the 22km Malaysia Autonomous Vehicle (MyAV) route under mixed traffic conditions, including business areas, educational institutions, MRT stations, junctions and pedestrian crossings.
During the trial, ALS will record driving performance, operating hours, distance travelled, trip numbers and system interventions to assess the van's capabilities in real-world conditions and support the development of autonomous logistics for commercial use.
