JASIN: Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh will remain Melaka Chief Minister should Barisan Nasional and its strategic partners win the state election next month, said Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
The BN chairman said his confidence in Rauf stemmed from his leadership record and capabilities, which he had demonstrated since serving as Umno executive secretary.
"With Datuk Rauf, what you 'order' is exactly what Melaka will get," he said when launching the BN election machinery for the Jasin parliamentary constituency at Dewan Alamanda/
The Election Commission has set Nov 14 as polling day for the Melaka election, with nomination day on Oct 31 and early voting on Nov 10.
