MARANG: A man died after being bludgeoned with a hammer by his younger brother in an incident at Kampung Tasek near here today.
The victim, Mohd Nasir Ismail, 43, the eldest of nine siblings, succumbed to severe head injuries in the attack.
His mother, Hasnah Sulong, 63, who was still in shock over the tragedy, said she was in the living room when she heard screams and sounds of a struggle from another part of the house.
"I immediately called my husband, Ismail Ibrahim, 80, who was outside the house.
"When he came inside, he saw Nasir covered in blood with severe head injuries," she said when met at her home in Kampung Tasek.
