KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has yet to receive any indication that the United States (US) plans to impose tariffs on its semiconductor exports, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said.

He said the government had not received any notification from Washington suggesting that Malaysian semiconductor products would be subject to tariffs.

"At this point, there is no indication that the US will impose any tariffs on semiconductors from Malaysia," he told reporters at a press conference during EU-Malaysia Business Day 2026: Selangor in Focus here today.

Johari was responding to a question on whether Malaysian semiconductor products would continue to be exempt from US tariffs.
