Donors who contribute food and equipment to the Ihsan Food Bank Initiative (i-FB) will receive special tax deductions from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the government had agreed to the deductions, when he spoke to reporters in Kota Kinabalu on 10 October.

Armizan said the incentive is expected to bring in more strategic partners, including the corporate sector, to strengthen the food bank ecosystem.
