TV4’s reality show “The Challenge” has been postponed this fall due to a technical failure. Large parts of the series have been deleted, Aftonbladet reports.
The newspaper reports that the edited season of the programme was deleted by an AI agent, resulting in the loss of several hundred days of work. TV4 denies this.
"There has been a technical failure in production that caused the edited material to disappear and now has to be edited again. Therefore, we need to postpone the premiere until 2027," says Ludvig Ternstedt, press officer for "The Challenge" at TV4, in a written comment to TT.
"We don't have the exact details of what happened yet, but it's not true that some evil AI agent acted independently and went in and deleted the material," he continues.
