KOTA KINABALU: A masseur who molested a male customer during a massage was sentenced to 20 months in jail and two strokes of the rotan by the magistrate's court here today.
Magistrate Marilyn Kelvin sentenced Ahmad Johan Yong Abdullah @ Yong Kui Fook, 31, after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
According to the charge, Johan used criminal force against the victim with the intention of outraging his modesty at a massage and reflexology centre in a shopping mall here around 1.30pm on June 21.
He was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to 10 years, or a fine, or whipping, or any two of the punishments, upon conviction.
According to the facts of the case,Johan repeatedly touched the victim inappropriately despite being told to stop.
