KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 18 Ng Eain Yow led Malaysia to their ninth gold medal at the Asian Games today, matching the country's record haul after securing a 2-0 victory over Pakistan in the men's team squash final.

Eain Yow overcame Pakistan's world No. 33 Noor Zaman 11-8, 6-11, 7-11, 11-4, 11-5 to seal the winning point.

Earlier, debutant C. Ameeshenraj delivered the opening point for Malaysia by beating Pakistan's Asim Khan 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-4.

The victory earned Malaysia their fourth squash title and third gold medal of the day, following triumphs in the women's team squash event and by cyclist Azizulhasni Awang, in Nagoya.
