NAGOYA: National padel players Christian Didier Chin and partner Aidan Yunus showed immense determination to keep their gallant run in the men's pairs event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games going.
The third seeded duo came from a set down to upset second seeds Farsad Shahi-Amirmohammad Jamshidi of Iran 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the semi-finals at the Nagoya City Higashi Sports Centre on Friday.
It was their third three-setter in as many matches at the tournament.
Aidan said they really started to believe in themselves from the second set onwards.
"Mentally, it was really tough for us after going down 6-1 in the first set. We did not start the way we wanted to," said Aidan.
