KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain and strong winds warning for several areas in 11 states and three federal territories until 6pm today.
In a statement, MetMalaysia said the warning covered the entire Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as all of Perlis, Terengganu and Selangor.
In Kedah, the affected areas are Bandar Baharu, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Sik, Kuala Muda, Langkawi, Kulim and Baling.
In Perak, the warning covers Kerian, Selama, Larut Matang, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim.
