SUNGAI PETANI: A 77-year-old man who was feared drowned after his car plunged into a river in Lubuk Kawah last night was supposed to remarry on Dec 12.
Mat Yusof Hashim was believed to have been on his way home to Jalan Masjid, Felda Teloi Timur, after dropping off his future wife in Sidam following dinner together.
His son, Muhamad Noor, 43, said the family had accepted the incident and was hoping his father would be found soon.
"My father was supposed to get married on Dec 12.
"We have accepted what has happened and can only hope that he will be found soon," he said when met at the scene today.
