MCA president Wee Ka Siong said discussions must continue and hopefully a breakthrough would be achieved in a day or two.PETALING JAYA: MCA president Wee Ka Siong says it is "premature" for Barisan Nasional chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamid to state that there was a positive outcome from yesterday's discussion between his party and the coalition’s leaders.
In a statement, Wee said an agreement had yet to be reached, despite the cordial meeting with Zahid, BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir and Melaka BN chief Ab Rauf Yusoh.
Wee said that during the meeting, he conveyed the party’s dissatisfaction with seat allocations for the Melaka state election.
"As for Zahid's claim that the outcome (of the meeting) was positive, I believe we are still a long way from achieving such objectives and it would be premature to describe it as such.
