MELAKA:Perikatan Nasional has named five of the six candidates to be be fielded in the upcoming 16th Melaka election, with the coalition opting for a mix of professionals and experienced hands.
Of the five, Pas and Parti Wawasan Negara will contest two seats each while the other will fall to Gerakan.
The sixth candidate, in Kota Laksamana, will be announced soon.
In the Bukit Katil seat, Pas will nominate its Hang Tuah Jaya committee member Ridzuan Sarif, while its Tangga Batu deputy chief Rafie Ahmad has gotten the nod for the Paya Rumput seat.
