Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the confidence and supply agreement between the government and seven opposition MPs does not spell out any terms on constituency development funds. (Bernama pic)KUALA LUMPUR: The confidence and supply agreement (CSA) between the government and seven opposition MPs does not specify that the elected representatives will receive their constituency development allocations, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.
However, he said, the funds would be disbursed to those who signed the CSA once the 2027 budget is approved in Parliament.
“No terms were stipulated for the MPs,” he told reporters after performing Friday prayers at a mosque in Bandar Tasik Selatan.
Anwar also dismissed suggestions by analysts that the CSA served as a reminder to components in the unity government against retracting support for his administration, calling it a “political view”.
