JASIN: Johor Umno will mobilise its entire election machinery to help Barisan Nasional (BN) secure victory in the Melaka election, particularly in the Jasin parliamentary constituency.
Johor Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the move was to repay BN Melaka for helping the coalition secure victory in the Johor election in July.
He said the contributions and support of BN Melaka's election machinery, including that of Umno Youth chief and Merlimau candidate Datuk Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh, who had helped BN candidates campaign in Johor, would not be forgotten.
Onn Hafiz, also Johor BN chairman, said the spirit of solidarity must translate into committed efforts to ensure BN candidates in Melaka win on polling day on Nov 14.
