PETALING JAYA: IJM Corporation Bhd has appointed former KPMG Malaysia managing partner Johan Idris as its new chairman, after long-time chairman Krishnan Tan retired in August.
Johan joins IJM as an independent non-executive director and chairman of the board.
He succeeds Lee Teck Yuen, who took over as chairman on Aug 27, just over a month ago after Krishnan retired.
In a statement, IJM said Lee had held the position to provide continuity while the board considered a longer-term appointment. He has now been redesignated as a non-executive director and will remain on the board.
