Malaysian students will benefit from a YTL Corporation Bhd scholarship programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science over 20 years.PETALING JAYA: A new £5 million (RM27.2 million) philanthropic commitment from YTL Corporation Bhd will establish the YTL Malaysian Scholarship Programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science, supporting Malaysian students over the next 20 years.
In a statement, YTL said executive chairman Francis Yeoh had facilitated the commitment, which would create life-changing opportunities for generations of Malaysian students.
It said the inaugural cohort of scholars joined LSE in September, comprising nine undergraduate and postgraduate students from nine departments across the school.
