MIRI, Oct 7 — Stephanie Essah Incham had just returned from her husband’s grave at Anglican Cemetery in Lambir before the CodeBlue team arrived at her house last Friday.

She now visits Alexson Adit Henry’s grave at least once a week.

“Before this, I was very scared of the graveyard. But now, not anymore. The grave is like my second home, and I feel at peace when I go there. I feel like he is close to me,” Stephanie said. If a week goes by without a visit, she said, she feels empty.

It has been almost a month since the September 8 Flying Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crash in Long Lellang killed five people, including Alexson, a U5 assistant medical officer under the Ministry of Health (MOH).

The crash has raised questions about the safety of FDS operations and the assets used to provide health care services to remote communities.
