(EPA Images pic)KUALA LUMPUR: The limit on duty-free purchases for tourists and visitors to Langkawi and Labuan will be raised to RM10,000 next year, subject to a minimum stay of 48 hours.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced the measure when tabling Budget 2027, aimed at boosting tourism in the two duty-free islands.

He said more products made in Langkawi would also be exempted from import duties to support local entrepreneurs.
