Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said tax deductions will be offered to private companies that implement Bakat Madani training programmes.KUALA LUMPUR: The Bakat Madani talent development programme aims to create 30,000 new job opportunities in 2027, with the participation of the private sector, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said.

“To encourage greater participation from private companies, tax deductions will be provided to companies that implement Bakat Madani training programmes from June 29, 2026, to Dec 31, 2030,” Anwar said when tabling Budget 2027.

In June, finance minister II Amir Hamzah Azizan said nearly 8,000 youths had received scholarships worth a total of RM250 million annually over the past five years under the Bakat Madani initiative, which is run by government-linked investment companies (GLICs), government-linked companies (GLCs) and Petronas.
