KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — A total of 1.3 million civil servants in Grade Utama B and below, including those on contract appointments, will receive RM1,500 in special financial assistance under Budget 2027.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also the finance minister, announced the assistance when tabling the Budget in the Dewan Rakyat today.

More than one million government pensioners, including pensionable and non-pensionable veterans, will also receive RM750 each.

The payments will be made in two instalments, with disbursements scheduled before Aidilfitri and ahead of the 70th anniversary of Merdeka.
