KUALA LUMPUR: The government has announced a one-off special financial assistance payment of RM1,500 for 1.3 million civil servants in Grade Utama B and below, including contract workers.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said all government pensioners, including pensioned and non-pensioned veterans, would also receive RM750 in special financial assistance.
"The payments will be made on two occasions, before Aidilfitri and in conjunction with the 70th Merdeka anniversary," he said when tabling the 2027 Budget at the Dewan Rakyat here today.
Anwar, who is also finance minister, said the government had agreed to provide a one-off special payment of RM750 to 70,000 KAFA religious teachers, takmir teachers, imams, bilals, tok siaks and other Islamic religious personnel.
