An initial inspection of two lorries at Jalan Penaga found diesel stored in rectangular tanks at the rear of the vehicles.

JOHOR BAHRU: Police seized 23,000 litres of diesel and five lorries worth an estimated total of RM949,160 during an operation in Taman Kota Puteri, Masai, yesterday.

Marine police region two commander Noor Azman Jamal said the operation followed a tip-off about the alleged misuse of subsidised diesel.

An initial inspection of two lorries at Jalan Penaga found diesel stored in rectangular tanks at the rear of the vehicles.

"A Malaysian man was questioned before he led the team to three more lorries parked by the road," he said in a statement.
