SEPANG: Ferrari's Charles Leclerc topped the second free practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on Friday, with Red Bull's Isack Hadjar and McLaren's Lando Norris completing the top three.
After a dry and sunny opening practice, dark clouds gathered over the circuit ahead of second free practice, with a 90 percent chance of rain.
Red Bull's Max Verstappen, fastest in free practice 1, initially set the pace with a 1:37.785s lap, two-tenths ahead of Mercedes' George Russell.
Leclerc, racing at the Sepang track for the first time, soon moved to the top with a 1:37.528s, before Hadjar went second fastest, just 0.087s behind.
Verstappen remained third before slipping to fourth as he chose not to switch to the soft tyres.
