PSM chairman Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj said the auditor-general's report gives many examples of leakages 'but after that, it goes quiet'.

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) has called for a formal system to be set up to ensure that investigations are carried out and action taken on wastage and leakages flagged in the auditor-general's reports.

PSM chairman Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj said a standard procedure should be set up after the auditor-general comes out with a report, "which gives many examples of leakages, including items being bought at three to five times the price".

“All this comes out in the news, but after that, it goes quiet,” he said at a press conference on PSM’s proposals for the 2027 budget.
