KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia are fighting to secure a top-10 finish at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games with just two days of competition remaining before Sunday's closing ceremony.
The top 10 on the medal table has become a showcase of record-breaking milestones and high-stakes battles as the Games head into their final stretch.
China officially surpassed the 300-medal mark on Friday evening, leading comfortably with 162 golds and 316 overall medals.
China have won more gold medals than the next five nations combined: Japan (71), South Korea (33), Uzbekistan (20), India (16), and Iran (15), who have 155 golds between them.
China's gold count alone exceeds third-placed South Korea's total tally of 134 medals.
