KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — All educational institutions in Melaka, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, as well as in Kuantan, Rompin and Bentong in Pahang, will operate as usual tomorrow, but all outdoor activities have been suspended due to the haze.
In Melaka, the State Education Department said that students attending school were encouraged to wear face masks, while parents or guardians who were concerned about their children’s health were allowed to keep them at home, provided that they informed the school.
“School administrators must continuously monitor the Air Pollutant Index (API) readings from the Department of Environment (DOE), and pay special attention to students at high risk,” it said in a statement.
