MASJID TANAH: Barisan Nasional (BN) wants its election machinery and Perikatan Nasional (PN) to put past political animosity behind them and build a new understanding to secure victory in the Melaka state election on Nov 14.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the cooperation reflected a new political landscape in Melaka, requiring both sides to set aside past differences in pursuit of a common goal.
He said that although BN and PN had previously had strained political relations, both sides needed to accept the new reality and work together as strategic partners.
"Since this is a new partnership, our strategic partners... although we were previously allergic to green and they were allergic to blue, things have now changed, creating a new political landscape in Melaka.
