KUALA LUMPUR: It is premature to describe discussions on MCA's seat allocation for the upcoming Melaka state election as "positive", as both sides remain some distance from reaching an agreement, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
Wee was commenting on his meeting with Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on seat allocations for Melaka at a meeting in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
"As for Zahid's description of the outcome as "positive", I believe we are still some distance from achieving that objective.
"It would be premature to describe the outcome as positive at this stage.
