The government faced calls to explain its choice of Prosignal to co-develop the TuJu navigation application following reports of disruptions and technical problems flagged by users.PETALING JAYA: Bagan MP Lim Guan Eng today urged the government to ditch local navigation app TuJu, which struggled to cope with a surge in users following Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s directive for 1.7 million civil servants to switch to the app.
In a statement, Lim also cited Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) chairman Hasni Mohammad’s admission that TuJu was not designed to compete directly with Waze, as reported by Malaysiakini.
Hasni said TuJu was intended to provide highway users with information on traffic updates but could eventually be expanded to cover federal, municipal and village roads over the next 10 to 15 years, a timeline which Lim today criticised.
