Speculation of an electoral pact between PH and Bersatu in the Melaka state election grew after leaders from both sides attended a closed-door dinner on Sept 28.KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin said the confidence and supply agreement (CSA) signed with the federal government today had nothing to do with a possible electoral pact with Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the Melaka polls.

“That is a separate question. That has nothing to do with (the agreement) here,” he told reporters after the signing at Parliament today.

Muhyiddin was responding to a question on whether Bersatu would now be forming an electoral pact with PH in Melaka.

Speculation of a tie-up with Bersatu emerged after leaders from both sides attended a closed-door dinner in Melaka on Sept 28. However, the matter has faced pushback within PH.
