Last week, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) declared that it is suspending services provided by MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd. At the time, the department disclosed that the two firms under the MYEG Group failed to fulfill their obligations. Now, as the suspension takes effect today, Transport Minister Anthony Loke has demanded the companies immediately settle RM314 million in outstanding government revenue.

Speaking at a press conference, Loke explained that the outstanding amount involves revenue collected by the companies that have yet to be transferred to the Ministry of Transport’s Main Revenue Account. The minister went on to clarify that the RM314 million in arrears had accumulated since May this year, and not three years ago. He also noted that prior to this instance, there had been arrears from time to time, but the outstanding amounts had been settled after reminder notices were issued.
