The suspect allegedly solicited and received the RM3,000 bribe while holding a preliminary investigation into the domestic dispute in his office.PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested a policeman in Negeri Sembilan for allegedly soliciting and receiving a RM3,000 bribe to ignore a fight between family members.
An MACC source said the suspect, in his 30s, was detained at one of the district police headquarters in the state at about 10pm yesterday, Berita Harian reported.
The source said the bribe was solicited from a married couple in exchange for not taking action over a fight involving their family members.
The suspect allegedly committed the act on Oct 29 while holding a preliminary investigation into the couple's case in his office.
