KUALA LUMPUR: Travel technology provider Amadeus IT Group says it has taken measures to fix a security vulnerability that made certain booking information accessible, following reports of customer data exposure involving several international airlines.

The Spain-based company said its investigations are continuing but there is no evidence that payment or financial information had been accessed.

"Certain booking-display data was accessible through the vulnerability. Although our investigations continue, we can confirm that there is no evidence that payment or financial data was accessed."

"There are no indications that this vulnerability has been exploited for ransomware purposes," Amadeus said in a statement shared to Business Times.
