KUALA LUMPUR: Muar member of parliament Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman today questioned why the findings of an investigation into alleged corporate mafia activities, announced in February, had yet to be made public.
The Muda representative said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had last week renewed his pledge to conduct a transparent and independent investigation led by Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar, assuring that no one, including those in top positions, would be spared action.
He said a similar promise was made in February following revelations about a share scandal, which later developed into the corporate mafia issue.
However, the findings of the investigation by the body led by the Attorney-General had yet to be made public, raising questions about the scope and terms of reference of the probe announced again in October.
