ALOR STAR: Bukit Aman will hold discussions with Pakistani authorities on the next course of action following the detention of 130 Malaysians suspected of involvement in a cybercrime syndicate.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said he had directed the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director to meet the relevant Pakistani authorities to discuss the matter.
He said the directive followed a telephone call from his Pakistani counterpart about the arrests, which took place about two weeks ago.
"I have asked the Bukit Aman CCID director to meet and discuss the matter with the relevant department in Pakistan to determine how we should handle this issue.
