MUAR: A school bus with a road tax that expired two years ago and had not been taken for mandatory periodic inspection was seized by the Road Transport Department in Pekan Bakri here on Tuesday.
The bus was stopped by an RTD enforcement team during a routine patrol along Jalan Sekolah at 12.05pm.
Johor RTD director Zulkarnain Yasin said checks through the department's Smart Management Enforcement Device system found that the vehicle's road tax had both expired on June 13, 2024, although it had valid insurance coverage.
He said it had also not been taken in for mandatory periodic inspections in the same timeframe.
