SINGAPORE, Nov 5 — Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) confirmed that no power outage had occurred at the Woodlands Checkpoint following heavy traffic congestion along the Causeway on Wednesday.
The authority said that planned electrical maintenance works were conducted at the Old Woodlands Checkpoint on November 4 from 10am to 2pm.
“While the Old Woodlands Checkpoint was temporarily unavailable for the clearance of arriving lorries during the works, lorry clearance continued at Woodlands Checkpoint.
“During this period, some Singapore-bound cargo traffic built up on the Causeway. Operations at the Old Woodlands Checkpoint resumed at around 4pm,” an ICA spokesperson said in response to Bernama’s queries on Thursday.
