Two video clips have drawn public attention for showing two police personnel allegedly taking money while carrying out an inspection on a group in a car.PETALING JAYA: Police are conducting a thorough investigation into a viral video circulating on social media alleging that two policemen in Penang had taken money from a group of people after stopping their car.
Several videos went viral on social media showing the two police personnel stopping a car carrying several people and conducting checks on them. The person recording the video alleged that the officers had taken money from the group.
George Town police chief Abdul Rozak Muhammad said the two personnel in a mobile patrol unit were carrying out law enforcement duties at Puncak Erskine, Jalan Fettes, in Tanjung Tokong, Bernama reported.
