(JKR Selangor pic)KUALA LUMPUR: A landslide following heavy rain in Gombak yesterday has resulted in the full closure of a section of the Rawang-Kuala Selangor road (B27). The landslide caused part of the road structure to collapse, the public works department said.
The landslide also brought down trees, blocking all traffic. A diversion route restricted to light vehicles has been provided, the statement read.
Detailed investigations were under way to determine the cause of the landslide. Temporary tarpaulin sheets had been installed to prevent erosion and further landslides.
