MELAKA: Young voters in the state have been urged to exercise their voting power in the 16th Melaka state election by making informed decisions based on accurate information and facts.

Melaka PKR state leadership council acting chairman, Adam Adli Abd Halim, said they should not be influenced by sentiment or politics of hate when casting their ballots on Nov 14.

He said voters aged between 18 and 39, who make up 47.34 per cent of the 687,697 registered voters in Melaka, had the power to shape the future of the state administration, and therefore should choose leaders with integrity.

"By nature when making decisions, apart from consulting our minds, we also consult our hearts on what is rational and what shapes our emotions.
