KUCHING: Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has hinted that four incumbent Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) assemblymen are likely to be renominated for the 13th Sarawak State Election.
The four incumbents are Stakan assemblyman Datuk Hamzah Ibrahim, Datuk Ibrahim Baki (Satok), Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman (Tupong) and Datuk Martin Ben (Kedup), who is also Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth chief.
“Today, I do not wish to say much because when I look at the faces of those (incumbents) present here, I know they will continue to be elected by the voters,” he said in his speech at the flag-off ceremony for the PBB Youth motorcycle convoy here.
On Nov 6, PBB information chief Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the list of GPS candidates for the state election was expected to be announced at a ceremony to present appointment letters before nomination day on Nov 28.
