Dell has announced two new laptops for the local market, namely the Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and the Pro Rugged 14. Built to withstand harsh environments, the duo is aimed at those who work in harsh conditions, such as public safety officers and utility technicians dealing with extreme weather.

Naturally, both models are designed with durability and portability in mind. They come with MIL-STD-810H certification and can operate at temperatures ranging from -29°C to 63°C. Furthermore, the anti-glare displays offer gloved and water multi-touch support, so they can be used when the user is wearing personal protective equipment. The company has also equipped the devices with hot-swappable batteries.

Additionally, the laptops offer some optional features, such as private 5G, WiFi 7, and GPS connectivity, as well as up to a 5MP RGB+IR camera. Meanwhile, the Rugged Control Centre lets users configure critical device settings. Other shared features include a 53.5Wh battery and stereo speakers.
