KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — U Mobile, Malaysia’s best 5G network provider, today announced that its ULTRA5G network has achieved 90 per cent 5G Coverage of Populated Areas (CoPA) nationwide, delivering on the company’s July 2027 commitment more than nine months ahead of schedule.
The achievement, announced at an event officiated by Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communications, and Teo Nie Ching, Deputy Minister of Communications, marks a major milestone in U Mobile’s nationwide ULTRA5G rollout and demonstrates the speed and scale of which the network has been deployed. It follows the telco’s achievement of more than 80 per cent CoPA in March 2026, less than nine months after the rollout began and more than three months ahead of its July 2026 deadline.
