KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian and radio presenter Jep Sepahtu has attracted attention after sharing receipts documenting his business zakat payments, including a payment of RM300,000 in 2025.
Jep, whose real name is Mohd Nadzri Zainal Abidin, 41, said he shared the receipts as proof that he had fulfilled his religious obligation, rather than to boast about the amounts paid.
"Anyone can talk. Especially nowadays, in the podcast era, all you need is a mouth to talk," he said in a social media post on yesterday.
He added that the income he received was a divine blessing and that he believed in sharing his good fortune with others.
