KUALA LUMPUR: The 2027 Budget will continue to strengthen Malaysia's long-term competitiveness and economic growth while prioritising the people through measures to ease the cost of living, raise wages and widen opportunities, Khazanah Nasional Bhd said.

Its managing director, Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, said the budget came at a crucial time as Malaysia navigated a volatile global environment marked by geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain pressures and elevated fuel prices amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

He said 2027 Budget emphasised quality growth, with a focus on strategic sectors such as semiconductors, the energy transition, infrastructure, enterprise development and talent to build a stronger, more competitive and future-ready economy.
