Deputy tourism, arts and culture minister Chiew Choon Man said he hoped Batik Air’s new Miri-Subang route would attract strong demand and remain viable in the long-term.PETALING JAYA: Batik Air will begin flights between Miri and Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang on Dec 1.
Deputy tourism, arts and culture minister Chiew Choon Man said the service would benefit those travelling for work, business, education, medical treatment and family commitments, The Borneo Post reported.
Chiew, who is also the Miri MP, said the route would not only offer more flight options but also strengthen Miri's connectivity with one of the country's main economic centres.
“The route will provide added convenience as Subang Airport is closer to Kuala Lumpur city centre and surrounding areas,” he said.
