KUALA LUMPUR: What began as a meeting to settle a misunderstanding between two men turned into a physical confrontation at a nasi kandar restaurant, ending with a personal driver being fined RM1,000 by the magistrate's court today.
Muhammad Zulhafiz Muhammad Zahari, 30, pleaded guilty to using criminal force against his sister's former boyfriend, 24-year-old parcel delivery man Muhammad Afiff Zahran Zori, without grave and sudden provocation.
Magistrate Amalina Johar fined Zulhafiz RM1,000 and ordered him to serve one month in jail if he failed to pay the fine.
The court heard that Afiff and Zulhafiz had met at 12.11am on July 15 at a restaurant in Taman Segambut Bahagia, Sentul, to resolve a misunderstanding between them.
